7 months after the move back to Boston from San Francisco, I made the tough decision to go back to school and pursue radiology/x-ray tech. For the better half of 10 years I have been in and out of work so damn much. The 2 chosen fields I worked in automotive and I.T. were in trouble essentially have collapsed by 2008 along with the U.S. financial sector, requiring bailouts by us, the taxpayers.
So many people including myself immediately lost their jobs along with everything they have worked so hard for.
During my time being out of work and trying to find a more permanent job, what has made me so angry is over the last couple of
years, especially in California, I noticed (to which I have told
people about it) that many prospecting employers were actively
discriminating against unemployed people.
Glad it's being reported now.
I'm not exactly thrilled by doing this but I've been told the 3rd time is a charm and in the medical field this is no shortage of sick people.
Maybe this is where I need to be.
